The Entertainment Software Association has once again published their annual “Essential Facts About the Computer and Video Game Industry” and interesting it is.
Some of the highlights in the 2011 release is the staggering average age of game players being 37 and 72% of American households playing computer or video games. It further progresses to outline of that 72%, 58% are male and 42% are female. Also parents are very very trustworthy of the ESRB’s rating system and the amount of parental control after the initial purchase is minimal.
