This image was one of the most interesting productions I’ve done; it displays me punching myself.

Quite a few hours went into its production and a lot of variations were scrapped.  Overall it was geared towards a few things which I did and said that I wasn’t too pleased about. A total of 7 different images were used for this picture, however, only 3 of them are major; the image of myself, my hand and the extended curtain. Blood was also subtly used and a sort of square overlay and flat HDR type effect also came into play.

From a moral and ethical point of view this is not a very positive picture. It depicts self-hatred and self-inflicted pain. Despite the controversial aspects, it stands as a reminder to me and it’s jam-packed with personal memories and notions.

Despite all of the aforementioned, it also shows mercy – As you come down to the bottom of the picture the words “we all make mistakes”, seeks to bring about compassion and understanding.
